2025 has been a whirlwind year for eyeMobil and we are thankful for so many wonderful and encouraging physicians, nonprofits and friends who have been customers.  We have been excited to be part of much innovation and growth in portable mission based ophthalmic products and look forward to many new projects in the years ahead.  Some of the big areas of innovation and growth include:

  • Attendance at 4 major meetings (ASCRS, COS, ESCRS and AAO)
  • Development of the EPIC Indirect Ophthalmoscope (created at Loma Linda)
  • Release of the EPIC Wireless B scan
  • Launch of our 3rd generation XY and Z modules for the EPIC II microscope
  • Move of our production from South Bend, IN to a new production facility in Benton Harbor, MI on Yore Ave
  • Addition of new production staff
  • Highest level of orders for the EPIC II microscope in 10 years
  • Addition of the Custom Surgical MicroREC 3D video system for surgery and clinic
  • Release of our patented UV microscope anti-fungal sterilization system

thebeacon croppedeyeMobil continues to grow and move forward quickly in 2023.  This year will be the first full year in our new production facility at the  Beacon Resource Center in South Bend, IN.   The space has allowed us to expand our mission and to have an entire community around us rooting us onward!  This year we have taken advantage of the in house machine shop to help produce parts!  Being at the Beacon Resource Center means that every purchase of a microscope  or surgeon's stool helps provide transformation to the west side of South Bend by supporting a space for local organizations committed to strengthening the community.  The Beacon hosts a church, adult education, a homeschool co-op, police after school boxing league, pickleball club and USA table tennis club, a machine shop and more.

We are grateful for the tremendous support of each of our customers.  This has allowed us to grow our vision for equipping surgeons and eyecare providers across the globe to serve their patients and the medically underserved.  In the last year, we have shipped microscopes to some of the following places:  Togo, Angola, Sudan, Guatemala, Gabon, Rwanda, Honduras, Ecuador, Venazuela, Ghana, Spain, Kenya, Mongolia, Nigeria, Eswatini and to many other places that our  mobile scope is taken that we are not aware of.
